From the desk of Mr. Adak

SSA Elementary has moved to our new home at 2325 W. Sunset.  Our new phone number is 665-3430.  Thank you very much for all the help that teachers, staff, parents and students provided to help make this move possible.  Next year we will have many of our new location issues worked out including a complete playground, a ramada for our lunch area and a building for administration.  We will have a garden for our students utilizing seeds from the Native Seed Search!

In April our students participated in AIMS testing.  The results will be available to parents next year.  Thank you for bringing your children on time and for the reduction in absences.  Overall the testing went very smoothly.

Congratulations to our Language Fair winners and the Desert Museum poem winners.  Please read the contents of this newsletter for details on these achievements.  We have many talented students here at SSA Elementary.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the faculty, staff, students and parents for working so hard this year in our year of transition.  We have learned much together!  We are offering a Summer School Program and you are free to pick up a packet in the front office.  Please encourage our students to read over the summer and practice math facts.

Remember to mention to your friends that we are still accepting applications for enrollment, although we have waiting lists for all grade levels with the exception of kindergarten.  The Broadway campus has more availability and is located on Kolb and Broadway.  For questions regarding Broadway enrollment, please call 665-3479.
