Sonoran Science Academy Parent Association
All parents and guardians of students attending Sonoran Science Academy are automatically members of our Parent Association. We hope you will be an active member of our school! Contact us using the SSA website at www.sonoranacademy.org or by leaving a written message in the Main Office for our mailbox in the faculty lounge.
Mission of the Parent Association
Our mission is to contribute in building a rich and supportive environment for our students. In partnership with the school’s administration, teachers and parents, we promote the intellectual, personal, and social success of all students.
Parent Association Goals:
- Develop and conduct activities that increase student, family, and staff involvement within our school.
- Actively support the academic, social and extracurricular activities of the school.
- Promote Sonoran Science Academy to the greater Tucson community.
- Provide a forum for discussion of school-related issues of importance to students, parents, students, teachers and administrators.
- When called upon, serve as an advisory group to SSA administrators and Board of Directors.
- Conduct school-approved fund-raising activities in order to fund items for use by teachers in the classroom or for after-school clubs. In addition, some of the monies raised may be available for use by the administrators or other staff.

Parent Association meetings will be the second Wednesday of each month at 8:45 am, in the library at the Middle/High School. All parents/guardians are welcome.
