SSA Students bring musical 'Greetings' to VFW post

Sonoran Science Academy students performed an original musical last Friday at a VFW fish-
and shrimp-fry dinner.
Students and two teachers with Sonoran Science Academy's Military Players performed "Greetings" at the Casas Adobes VFW Post 10188, 345 E. Roger Road, during the VFW's monthly fish fry.
"Greetings" is a musical comedy about new enlistees written by Sonoran Science Academy history teacher Cherie Norris. The school is located at 2325 W. Sunset Road. Norris, a veteran of the United States Navy, and fellow teacher, Steven Beech, were both part of the cast. Beech is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Student cast members included Brett Rowley, Nick Gil, Alex Pratt, Rudyard Sutton, Reilly Bello, Devin Tanner, Josh Maldonado, Sydney Volkerts, Mona Hashemi, Jack Whiteside and Brian Cloutier.
