WORDMASTERS
COMPETITION
In the second WordMasters Challenge meet this year, freshman Morgan Wohlbrandt was one of only seven ninth graders in the entire country to earn a perfect score. Her classmate, Tony Lenox, who made only two mistakes in the entire challenge, was one of the 162 highest-scoring ninth graders nationwide – an incredible accomplishment! Competing in the Blue Division of the Challenge, sixth graders Taylor Heimbichner, Race Morel, and Ellie Weinstock, and seventh grader Isaac Gamus all earned perfect scores in the year's first meet, and also achieving outstanding results in the meet was seventh grader Brandon Reinke.
In the entire country, only 23 sixth graders and 62 seventh graders earned perfect scores. With more than 59,000 students from 46 states entering the meet, the delegates from Sonoran Science Academy certainly made our school proud!
Thank you to Mrs. Sally David for her guidance and support in forming such a competitive team to represent Sonoran Science Academy.
