Sonoran Science Academy is committed to preparing young people for a successful future.  In order to offer a high level of education we need to consistently raise money.  SSA drafted its first Development Plan in the summer of 2004.  The plan, which is multifaceted, includes a variety of ways the school intends to raise money.  Below is a sampling of what the school is doing. Annual Appeal - This is our cornerstone of our giving program. This voluntary donation is given any time throughout the year but is specifically requested in the beginning of the school year. The annual appeal goes toward operating costs. Click HEREfor more details and an explanation.

Tax Credit -All monies raised by the Tax Credit program go to support student programs at Sonoran Science Academy.  The Arizona Tax Credit is offered at NO COST to the taxpayer. Business Partners - Here SSA is inviting the Business Community into our learning community. In exchange for a donation to the school, local businesses receive a host of publicity.   Click HERE for more details and an explanation of how this program works.

Silent Auction/Raffle - SSA’s first major fundraiser will be a silent auction and raffle. This school year 2008/2009 the proceeds of this event will benefit the science department.  Click HERE for the details and how you can get involved.

Corporate Sponsor -SSA has its first corporate sponsor.  DASANTI water was the sponsor for the 2004/2005 school year.  We are searching for a sponsor for next school year.  Click HERE for more details about how this program works.

Grants - It is the goal of Sonoran Science to partner with interested parents to write grants for projects and equipment for the school.  The number of grants submitted has doubled over last year.  Click HERE to see how you can get involved in this process.

Parent Council - Our Parent Council is an important partner in our fundraising efforts.  Throughout the year our Parent Council has numerous events ranging from Book Fairs to Cookie Dough and Skating Parties.  Click HERE to see how you can get involved.
