Sonoran Science Academy ranks first in MathCounts

Sonoran Science Academy - Tucson ranked first, and local Alice Vail Middle School finished fourth, in Saturday's state MathCounts competition held at Cienega High School.

Three students from Sonoran Science Academy will compete in the national competition in Denver, Colo. on May 8-11. They are Richard Spence, Langston Harris and Joshua Sloane. The team's coach is Kadir Bahar of Sonoran Science Academy.
