I hope everyone is enjoying the fall! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our first traditional family picnic. It was fun to get together for food, fun and games. Can you believe the first quarter is over? Report cards were mailed out already; if you did not receive your child’s report card please contact Mrs. Thandi in the front office. As we move into November please review with your child their nightly homework. If you have questions concerning your child’s progress or grades please contact the teacher or Mr. Selim. The second progress reports will go out towards the end of third week of November. Parent/teacher conferences were a success. If you were unable to attend, please contact your child’s teacher to schedule one.
All of our 2nd through 8th graders have been taken the fall session of MAP test which is a computer based internal standardized test. We will mail out your child’s report card for this test to your address. We will administer this test three times this year. Teachers and parents will have a chance to keep track on your child’s academic progress. You may get more information about the MAP test from the website of www.nwea.org.
Make sure to take advantage of the TAX CREDIT program. Do not miss out on the opportunity to choose where your tax dollars are spent. By donating your tax credit money to SSA-Broadway you help us to fund after school clubs, field trips, competitions, etc. Please help us to keep our free programs. We have a contest among the homerooms this year. The homeroom students and their teacher who will raise the most Tax Credit donations per student will go to an overnight trip. The individual student who will raise the most Tax credit donations will receive a laptop. Support SSA-Broadway today!
We are in the process of building a library. We are in need of book cases, books, bookends, etc. If you have any of these items and would like to donate them to our library; it would be most welcome.
